Volunteer Activities Council Spotlight - May

The LiveDAYBREAK Volunteer Actives Council would like to acknowledge the efforts of council member Kristin Kortonick. After moving to Daybreak, Kristin has been very active with the Volunteer Activities Council. Her influence can be felt through many of the LiveDAYBREAK events such as the Raise the Woof, Winter Wine-derland, and Warm Up The Night.

“Finding an active community was important to my husband and I because we both work from home. We knew we needed to get out and meet our neighbors so we started attending community events. The Volunteer Activates Council does a great job of making sure there's something for every member of the family - including my dog, Baxter!”

Kristin is quick to lend a helping hand and to volunteer her time. Her attitude and leadership are always appreciated when the VAC is working on future projects.

“After attending Winter Wine-derland in 2016, I knew I wanted to be part of planning more fun events for the community. Helping other members of the community meet their neighbors, experience new activities, and plan new events has been very rewarding. I've made so many relationships and learned much more about the community through volunteering with Volunteer Activities Council.”
