Volunteer Activities Council Spotlight - March

Linda Murray and her husband moved here last January from Kansas, choosing Utah because they love to ski and hike.

"My son graduated from U of U in pharmacy and when we came to visit we fell in love! He showed us Daybreak after looking for months and I knew immediately I had to live here. We have never regretted it once."

Linda decided to begin volunteering with the Volunteer Activities Council after seeing a post about the council on Facebook. Linda has volunteered at events such as Trick or Treat Street, the Winter Market, Noon Years Eve and more, and is a regular attendee of VAC meetings.

"The community is wonderful. I retired from my nursing career upon moving here and decided I wanted to volunteer. Met Aimee and she hooked me right up! I have met many wonderful people volunteering and it’s been so much fun! So far I’ve enjoyed all the activities they put on, and hope to continue."
