Volunteer Activities Council Spotlight - January

This month we are spotlighting Taylor Proctor. Over the last two years, no project has been too big or too small for Taylor to offer her help and expertise. In 2015 she took the lead on creating the LiveDAYBREAK Raise the Woof Canine Carnival and Costume Contest.

The event has been a glowing success for the community, as $2,000 has been donated to Nuzzle & Co.’s Purple Paw Program, which offers safe shelter and care for pets of domestic violence.

“I care deeply about providing awareness and support for the Purple Paw Program. As Raise the Woof’s chairperson, I am able to take a leadership role in our community and bring awareness to a program that I feel is very important.”

“I also volunteer because I love the sense of community I gain from being on the council and serving at events. At council meetings, I feel heard as I often represent pet and childless couple activities. I also enjoy how volunteering with LiveDAYBREAK allows me to connect with my neighbors. Daybreak has so many great activities and events for its residents and I'm proud to know that I have had a hand in making every event a success.”

We are very lucky to have a fantastic person like Taylor on our Volunteer Activities Council!
