Daybreak R.A.D. Award - Craig Hall

Craig Hall is the Resident Appreciation in Daybreak (R.A.D.) Award recipient for December. He and his wife are two of the original Daybreak residents who moved in 12 years ago into Founders Village. They have truly embraced the community atmosphere in Daybreak and give back to their neighborhood. From hosing Labor Day BBQs and stringing holiday lights, Craig doesn’t hesitate to get involved.

“He is an amazing neighbor who is always helping others and is very community oriented,” said a neighbor. “He plans street parties and helps neighbors learn how to take care of their yards because he is an amazing gardener.”

You cannot miss the Halls’ home this time of year. It is decked out in lights that coordinate with music as cars line the street to watch. Craig loves lights and every year helps his street to be festive. He even sent fliers to neighbors to organize tree lights for the park strip. On Christmas Eve each year he sets up hundreds of luminaries and has neighbors light them, so their street is stunning that evening.

His neighbor continued, “He just goes above and beyond for everyone. When we moved in, we knew nothing about owning a home and he taught us so much; he is the greatest neighbor.”

Craig also serves in Boy Scouts and this year took troops totaling about 400 boys to seven World and National Jamborees. He and his wife love the open space in Daybreak along with the diversity within the community. He says they notice the willingness of people to share and help each other here in Daybreak.

Craig is an attorney and had the opportunity to live in Brazil for a couple of years working as general counsel for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He hopes to return to Brazil in the future and live there for a few years. When Craig is not hanging lights or working, he loves to water ski and spend time at Lake Powell. If you visit Petersen Farms just down the road, you can buy delicious honey from one of his 15 bee hives.
