Brookside Pool Going to the Dogs

Every dog has his or her day, and Saturday, September 10th is the day for Daybreak dogs. That’s when Brookside Pool is open for the Daybreak Doggie Paddle. Dogs get the pool to themselves for two splash-filled hours from 10am-12pm.

The first half hour is reserved for dogs 25 pounds and under to enjoy without the big dogs around. Then, at 10:30, all other dogs can join in the fun. After belly flops, dives, and doggie paddles, dogs can get a shampoo at the dog washing station, and a treat bag from the Bone Bar. Every dog is sure to go home happy, tired, and full of treats.

Admission is a donation to the Utah Animal Advocacy Foundation. UAAF is an all-volunteer run group that helps in the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of homeless animals, and relies on the support of the public for its continued success. Here is a list of needed donations:

  • Dog, cat, and kitten food
  • Dog and cat treats
  • Cat litter
  • Clorox wipes
  • Blankets
  • Dog and cat beds
  • Reams of paper (printing our adoption stories)
  • Sheet protectors
  • Garbage bags
  • Small binder clips
