This is the LiveDAYBREAK’s Healthy Living Monthly Challenge page! Any time is a great time to start living healthier.


We’re looking for residents to take our challenge and report back at the end of the month on how it has made a difference in their lives. See monthly challenges below.

Yoga Classes 

If you are a Yogi or just want to try out something new, we are offering two free yoga classes in September. Come free your mind and energize during a powerful yoga flow. One attendee from each class will get a gift card! Check out more details on our events page for the September 8th and 22nd classes.

June Healthy Living Challenge – Push Up Challenge!

It’s time for a push-up challenge! No equipment needed, just your own body weight. Do them from your knees or do them from your toes. Follow one of the suggested push-up challenges in the pictures below, set your own goal, or choose a number to do every day and watch your body be transformed. The challenge will only take a few minutes each day!

This challenge will run from June 1st until June 30th, and TEN winners will be chosen for a $30 gift card to REI!

Who doesn’t love a nice home-cooked meal? It may take a bit longer to prepare, but cooking a meal at home has many benefits. Cooking at home ensures that you know exactly what is going into your meal and can help to jumpstart a healthier lifestyle. It also has a tendency to lead to a newfound appreciation for the food you consume.

May’s Healthy Living Challenge is to find and try 2 new healthy recipes per week. Be sure to share the recipes and pictures of the final product in the comment section.

Those who take on the challenge and share recipes and/or photos of newly crafted meals will be entered into a raffle to win a $30 gift card to Sprouts Farmers Market

Winners of April's Healthy Living Challenge will be announced on May 1st!

Spend Time in Nature

As the weather is warming up, there is greater opportunity to spend time outside. Spending time in nature has incredible benefits. Some physicians have even prescribed it to patients! Our challenge to you is to spend 20 minutes outside every day (or as many days as possible). You could complete this challenge by eating your lunch outside, going for a walk or run, taking your kids to the park, simply sitting and meditating, or maybe some spring skiing. There are lots of ways to complete this challenge. Be creative! Let us know how you are completing the challenge and the positive impact it has had on you.

For the month of March, your challenge is to reduce the amount of added sugar that you typically consume.

Many of us are aware of the negative impact that added sugars have on our health. Yet, when there are cookies sitting on the table in our office, we can’t resist. Let us know how you feel the decrease in sugar has changed your daily life. What choices have you opted for instead?

We have eight (8) Ivie Juice Bar Daybreak $25 Gift Cards to raffle off for those who take the challenge.

Fit February – Plank Challenge


Maybe planks are part of your normal routine or maybe you have never held a plank before? No worries! There are options for both! For the month of February, your challenge will be to work towards eithe2-minute hold or a 5-minute hold. Your choice! This challenge will only take a few minutes out of your day. Planks strengthen your core and a strong core can also contribute to decreased back problems, an increased metabolism, improved posture, and increased flexibility.

Eliminate screen time at least 30 minutes before bed

Do you have a TV in your bedroom? Do you bring your smartphone into your bedroom? How about games on an iPad? For the month of January, our challenge to you is to eliminate screen time (of all forms) for at least 30 minutes prior to going to bed. Screen time, specifically the light that is emitted, before bed affects disrupts your wake/sleep cycle. The light signals wakefulness, thus making a restful night of sleep difficulties. Also, the rings and vibrations can be enough to wake you during your deep sleep.
